We are the faces behind the TechBio newsletter. Prateek & Jere.

Both of us are geeks and long-time biotech professionals, researchers, and tinkerers, though we are not limited to just this one field. Here we want to inspire and tickle some brains by sharing some of the most interesting news, stories, and research that we come across. Currently serving than 2000 readers weekly!

Prateek built the techbio firm AKITA, building tissue-chips and cancer models to reduce animal reliance in drug discovery. Previously worked with drones, AI, geospatial intelligence, and spent upwards of half a million Euros on patents.

Jere is almost (Working on it!) a double degree holder in Biochemistry and Computer Science. He has worked with microfluidics, Organs-on-Chip, biomaterials, additive manufacturing, AI-driven image analysis, as well as having a plethora of personal projects from photography to music.
